#2 Bicentennial Bur Oak

These Bur Oak pre-date the War of 1812, when land and naval battles were fought along the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River. There is a strong connection between long-time residents, area farmers and loggers and Aboriginal elders that link these trees to early Canadian history. Old trees are important for their heritage significance and biodiversity.
