South Nation Conservation protects and restores the watershed as a vibrant ecosystem with the help of many forward thinking individuals, groups, and agencies. Together, we lead aquatic projects across our jurisdiction.
We understand the ecology and the interconnected roles of the hydrological system, the varied natural habitats, and the flora and fauna that live here. As a result of the values and science that guide us, we are able to identify project needs; set feasible targets; provide monitoring; track long-term conditions; and contribute to research and education.
As a not for profit organization and one of Ontario’s 36 Conservation Authorities, SNC relies heavily on funding opportunities and grants that allow our expert staff to initiate and manage on the ground environmental projects to achieve a positive return on investment for all, including our local environment.
