As part of National Wildlife Week (April 10th – 16th, 2016), a Canadian Wildlife Federation (CWF) initiative, this year marks the 100th anniversary of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. As such, the CWF theme for National Wildlife Week this year is “Giving Wings to Wildlife Conservation.” Tying into this theme and working with Friends of the Sanctuary, SNC staff will present on the grassland work taking place at the Bird Sanctuary to enhance habitat for grassland bird species.
